2020 Men’s National Championships

The draw (maybe only the initial one?) for the South African Men’s National Championships is now available. The Championships take place in Cape Town from 9 to 17 May 2020.

Mowbray Members

Pairs

The first rounds of the Pairs are played in a Round Robin format, with 4 to 5 teams per section.
The Round Robin will be played on Saturday 9 and Sunday 10 May 2020 with the winner of each section progressing to the knockout rounds.

Gareth and Wade – Plumstead
Peter and Richard – WPCC
Joel and Dave vdw – Durbanville
Warren and Tom – Edgemead
Alastair and Jules – Glen
Mark and Craig – Old Oak

Fours

The first rounds of the Fours are played in a Round Robin format, with 4 to 5 teams per section.
The Round Robin will be played on Monday 11 and Tuesday 12 May 2020 with the winner of each section progressing to the knockout rounds.

Alastair, Gareth, Wade & Jules – Durbanville
Joel, Dave vdw, Warren & Tom – Edgemead

Singles – Veteran

The first three rounds of the Singles are played in a Round Robin format, with three players per section. Marking is the same as for the provincial competition, with player 3 marking the first game, and then playing the loser of that game in the next round.
The Round Robin will be played on Wednesday 13 May 2020 with the winner of each section progressing to the knockout rounds.

Singles – Open
